On Thursday, a four-member Appellate Division bench headed by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha extended the stay order till November 27 in reply to a state petition.
On August 30, the HC had granted bail to Manna on health ground in a sedition case filed against him. However, the SC on September 4 stayed the bail and asked the state authorities to file a leave-to-appeal plea.
Manna was arrested on February 25, last year, after an audio clip of his telephone conversations with BNP leader Sadeque Hossain Khoka and another unknown person was leaked.
