Awami League and its affiliated organizations started taking a stand at Dhanmondi 3/A near the party president’s political office on Sunday.
Khairul Majid Bhuiyan Kabir, president of Ward 15 Awami League, Dhanmondi Thana, said: “Dhanmondi Thana Awami League and its affiliated organizations are ready to protect our leaders’ office with our lives.”
“The first attack was around 12pm. They attacked with huge amounts of weapons, bombs, and cocktails,” he added.
Kabir noted: “It felt like they are trained goons.”
Some leaders claimed that some media outlets are using quotes out of context.
