Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanak, the nominated candidate for Dhaka-13 constituency and a member of the Awami League's presidium, said that the upcoming 12th parliamentary election is unstoppable as the people of Bangladesh have united against BNP-Jamaat.
He made these statements to reporters ahead of his election public relations event in the capital on Tuesday.
He expressed confidence that the election would be fair and competitive, despite alleged plots by BNP-Jamaat to thwart it.
Nanak said that the people of the country would thwart any attempts to disrupt the democratic process by actively participating and casting their votes.
Responding to a query, Nanak, a leader of the Awami League's policy-making forum, acknowledged the competitiveness of the upcoming election.
He urged all candidates to focus on fair competition and refrain from engaging in violence during the electoral contest.
