PM Hasina instructs Chhatra League to build Smart Bangladesh

Prime Minister and President of Awami League Sheikh Hasina has given organizational instructions to the leaders and activists of Chhatra League to build Smart Bangladesh.

This information was given in a press release signed by Chhatra League President Saddam Hossain and General Secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Inan.

The 10 organizational guidelines include members of Chhatra League should follow organizational instructions in the use of any other picture except for Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Bangabandhu family members in banners, posters and other areas of the organization.

Districts, cities, and universities should not form committees of any unit under them without the branch conference. The committees of the units which have not been fully formed, are directed to submit full committees to the central committee or the concerned units as soon as possible. No full committee of a unit shall be constituted with more than the number of members specified in the constitution.

Each unit must hold regular executive meetings at times specified in the constitution, the press release said.

The leaders of the respective units must be present in their respective units at all times and take multi-faceted initiatives to increase the successional dynamics in the organizational activities.

Leaders and activists at all levels of the country will promote the government's developmental activities and regular organizational activities on social media and will respond appropriately to all anti-national attempts and rumors-propaganda.

Every educational institution, including universities, colleges, schools, madrasas, must maintain the academic environment and conduct organizational programs. Students should play a responsible role in every matter related to their interest.

In order to build a Smart Bangladesh, every educational institution should be transformed into a smart campus, programs should be undertaken and implemented to enhance the skills of the students in an up-to-date manner, the press release said.

Social, cultural, sports and literary activities should be conducted so that the anti-independence forces, fundamentalism and militancy cannot mislead the students and young generation anonymously.

Multifaceted festivals, competitions, seminars, workshops, training programs should be undertaken to make students and young generation proficient in information technology.

Planting trees to combat the climate change crisis, playing a role in preventing air-water-soil-environment-noise pollution; Careful use of electricity-water-gas-oil for cultivation in uncultivated land, saving energy; each unit will encourage the students and young generation to deal with the global economic crisis including frugality at the organizational and individual level.

On Tuesday, former president of Dhaka University unit Chhatra League Saddam Hussain was chosen to lead the central committee of the organization. 

Sheikh Wali Asif Enan - organizing secretary of the immediate-past central committee -was named general secretary.

Saddam was the assistant general secretary of the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu).   

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the 30th national council of the Chhatra League that took place on December 6. 

Chhatra League held its 29th council in May 2018.
