Fakhrul: Govt responsible for Farhad Mazhar's abduction

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Wednesday alleged that the government is responsible for Farhad Mazhar's abduction and they plotted the drama to divert public attention the 16th Amendment verdict. He made the comments while talking to reporters at the party's central office in the afternoon. “If they [the government] are not responsible, then they should find out who the abductors are and the people behind the incident,” Fakhrul said. He also claimed that all statements given by the government are false. “Even the police statements regarding Farhad Mazhar's abduction is really ridiculous,” he added. About the next general election, the BNP secretary general said: “The government is just pointlessly talking about the election, they do not have any plans about the election. If the election does not take place, the government has to take the responsibility.”
