Prashanta Kumar Banik, superintendent of Kashimpur Central Jail 2, said the BNP leader was freed on Friday afternoon.
Salahuddin, joint-convener of BNP’s Dhaka metropolitan unit, is accused in several cases including charges of vandalism and arson.
On Thursday, he secured bail in a case filed with Wari police station.
The BNP leader was shifted to Kashimpur Central Jail on December 29 last year.
