Proper training to physically challenged people ensures accessibility to society

The lawmaker made this remark while giving away training materials, certificates and cash money among the physically challenged persons. “The training imparted to the physically challenged people ensures accessibility to the society,” added the MP. Brigh Bangladesh Form (BBF), Chittagong-based non government organisation working for the physically challenged persons organized the distribution ceremony at Chittagong Shishu Academy yesterday (Monday). As many as 18 physically challenged people received cash money and sewing machines while 30 others received certificates. Mentionable that the NGO imparts training like tailoring, and handicrafts to 50 chosen physically challenged people every year. Addressing as the chief guest at the ceremony, the lawmaker further said that the physically challenged persons were no longer considered to be burden as the government undertook various steps for their employment. With Razzaqul Haider Khan, adviser to the BBF in the chair, the programme was addressed by Chittagong City Corporation councilors- Morshedul Alam and Farzana Parvin, Utpal Barua, chief executive of the BBF. Sohail Ud Doza, manager (programme) of the BBF presented a slide show on the activities of the non government organisation. The physically challenged people who received training from the BBF also shared their experience at the ceremony saying that the NGO helped them overcome their challenge and rehabilitate in the society.
