N'ganj city AL president Anwar hospitalised

Ahsan Habib, joint-secretary of Awami League, told the Dhaka Tribune that Anwar Hossain was taken to Islam Heart centre after he fell down on the floor during Johr prayer on Friday afternoon. Jahidur Rahman, a physician of Islam Heart Centre, said he was suffering from low pressure. Now, the veteran politician is undergoing treatment at Lab Aid Hospital, Dhaka. Party insiders said Anwar got upset after not getting nomination from Awami League to compete in the upcoming Narayanganj City Corporation polls as a mayoral candidate. Selina Hayat Ivy, who is a popular figure in Narayangnaj politics, has obtained nomination from the ruling party and she already submitted her nomination paper to district election office.
