According to local sources, Najmul Mian, son of Shajalal Mian used to live at Pichkamatal village in the upazila with his wife Muslima Akter and two children.
Muslima said Najmul development an extra marital relation with a woman and started to live with her secretly recently.
On the day, they locked into a quarrel over the issue when Najmul returned home.
At one stage Najmul, strangulated his 14-month old daughter Nusrat Jahan leaving her to death.
Bandar police station Officer-in-Charge Abul Kalam said Najmul including his parents went into hiding after the incident.
Police were trying to arrest them, said the OC.
The body was sent to Narayanganj General Hospital.
