The admission test for first-year undergraduate programs under the 2025-26 academic session at Jahangirnagar University (JU) will begin on December 21 this year.
Confirming the matter to Dhaka Tribune on Thursday morning, JU acting registrar ABM Azizur Rahman said: “This year, the admission test for the academic session 2025-26 will commence on December 21.”
He further said that the Technical Committee, along with other sub-committees related to the admission process, will soon meet to finalize the detailed schedule and other relevant matters.
Meanwhile, the university authorities have decided not to hold admission tests in divisional cities this year as well.
Regarding this decision, the member secretary of the university’s Admission Committee and Deputy Registrar (Education) Syed Mohammad Ali Reza said: “Due to logistical and security reasons, the committee has decided not to hold the admission test outside the campus this year. Although the proposal to arrange exams in divisional cities was considered, after reviewing factors such as overall preparedness, the country’s situation, question paper security, and maintaining examination standards, the previous policy has been retained.”
