Due to urgent repair and maintenance work on distribution lines and transformers, as well as tree branch trimming, electricity supply will remain suspended for nine hours in several areas of Sylhet on Wednesday.
Sylhet PDB Sales and Distribution Division-2 announced the information in a press release.
According to the notice, power supply through the 11 kV feeder line will remain shut from 7am to 4pm in Shibganj Bazar, Shibganj Point, Shibganj Sonarpara, Time Square, and adjacent areas.
For safety reasons, the authorities have urged residents not to treat the power lines as active during this period to avoid any accidents.
