  • Two proposals are under consideration
  • Tourist travel restriction to the three hill districts from October 8-31
Update : 30 Oct 2024, 04:45 PM

Bandarban Deputy Commissioner Shah Mojahid Uddin announced the possible reopening of the tourist spots in Bandarban within the next 7-10 days.

He shared this update during a meeting with tourism stakeholders in the conference room of the deputy commissioner’s office Wednesday morning.

"Two proposals are under consideration," he said. "One is to fully reopen the entire Bandarban district to tourists. The other is to open only specific areas deemed safe, excluding those with potential security risks. We are committed to supporting the local businesses for the upcoming tourism season."

Earlier, the district administration had restricted tourist travel to the three hill districts — Khagrachari, Bandarban, and Rangamati — from October 8 to October 31.
