In a daylight robbery, criminals attacked two Sonali Bank officials and two Ansar members, injuring them with gunfire and sharp weapons before stealing over Tk7 lakh from the Sonali Bank sub-branch at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital in Gazipur on Sunday afternoon.
The injured are Atika Parveen Suravi, 39, in charge of the hospital’s Sonali Bank sub-branch, Cash Officer Farzana Naznin Simu, 27, and Ansar members Al Amin, 30, and Raju Mia, 40.
According to Gazi Shahiduzzaman, assistant general manager (AGM) of Sonali Bank's Gazipur Court Building branch, the four individuals were transporting over Tk7 lakh by autorickshaw to deposit it at the Court Building branch.
