The bodies of seven Rohingya people, including children and a pregnant woman, came floating in the Naf River in Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday.

Locals recovered the bodies after a boat carrying them capsized in the river.

They suspect the deceased were trying to enter Bangladesh from Myanmar.

The floating bodies were discovered by local people between 10am and 5pm.

Among the deceased, there were four children, two men and a woman.

A non-governmental organization (NGO) named Al Manahil Welfare Foundation Bangladesh buried the bodies.

NGO worker Mahbub Alam Miner said: "Our foundation has buried the seven bodies locally. Among them was a pregnant woman. We have buried the bodies of 286 people who escaped from Myanmar in the last week.”
