A poisonous two-faced conch snake has been rescued from a farmer's house in Kalapara upazila of Patuakhali.
According to Animal Lovers organization sources, two-faced conch snake is a highly poisonous snake. The scientific name of the snake is Banded Krait or bungarus fasciatus .
The snake was found tangled in a net on the bank of the pond of the house of the farmer Md Rubel at Majidpur village of Nilganj Union of the upazila.
Al Munjir and HM Masud Hasan, members of the Kalapara Animal Lovers organization of Patuakhali said that after receiving the information on their hotline number, they rescued the snake from the house of Rubel.
Though the snake is poisonous but eco-friendly, it even eats rats and other venomous snakes. It is very beneficial for the environment. So the snake was released at the same place on the request of the farmer, the rescuers added.
