The road communication between Khagrachhari, Dhaka, and Chittagong has been abruptly halted as unidentified individuals cut trees, and left them on a local road.
The incident took place at the Baliachari area of Matiranga upazila in Khagrachhari on Friday.
The blockade left hundreds of vehicles stranded.
Matiranga police station officer-in-charge (OC) Md Zakaria said that the fire service is working to remove trees. The road will be opened for traffic shortly.
