RAB arrested Feni District Jubo Dal President Zakir Hossain on Sunday midnight, in the police constable killing case during BNP’s rally on October 28 in Dhaka.
He was arrested from Muhammad Ali Bazar area of Feni early Sunday, according to a RAB 7 statement.
RAB-7 Feni Company Commander Squadron Leader Mohammad Sadequl Islam said: “There are 13 cases against Jubo Dal leader Zakir Hossain Jasim in Feni and Khagrachari districts for various charges including sabotage and attempted murder.”
On the same night, RAB arrested three others, including Feni Jubo Dal General Secretary Nasir Uddin Khandaker, and handed them over to the Feni Model police station.
5 detained over vandalism
Additionally, on Sunday morning, police detained five BNP men while holding a procession in the district.
They are Gazi Manik, Delwar Hossain Babul, Zia Uddin Patwari, Mohiuddin, and Arman.
Meanwhile, Jubo Dal Central Committee President Sultan Salahuddin Tuku and General Secretary (Acting) Shafiqul Islam Milton have condemned the arrests.
