Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan on Tuesday said the Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar rail link project will be inaugurated on November 12.
He made the announcement while delivering his speech as the chairperson of the inauguration ceremony of the Padma Rail Link Project’s Dhaka-Mawa part.
The new rail line will ensure fast and smooth movement of trains from Dhaka to Cox's Bazar.
Two Chinese firms are implementing the project.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina laid the foundation of the project in April 2011.
