All public and private schools in Chittagong city will be closed on Tuesday due to the excessive rainfall that has caused severe waterlogging in the port city.
The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education issued a notice in this regard on Monday.
MA Khayer, public relations officer of the education ministry, confirmed the matter.
It also asked the authorities to ensure safety of the important documents under special management during the natural disaster.
