A fire broke out at Sitakunda's BM Container Depot in Chittagong on Tuesday afternoon.
The fire began around 3 pm in a jute container stored in the depot shed, said Md Feroz Khan, official at Kumira Fire Service Station.
He said, ''We arrived at the scene around 3:30pm after receiving information about the fire. The fire was quickly brought under control after the efforts of our two units. The cause of the fire is unknown. We're still working on the scene.''
'It is a minor fire incident. It wasn't as terrible as the last time,' he added.
Tofayel Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Sitakunda Police Station, said that a police team also worked with the firefighting teams.
The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
Earlier on late June 4, BM Depot was the victim of an explosion that claimed 51 lives, including members of the fire services, and left more than 200 people injured.
