Three crude bombs were hurled targeting leaders and followers of local Awami League in front of Bulbul Cinema Hall in Mohadebpur upazila headquarters on Monday night.
The incident took place around 8pm, said Mozaffar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Mohadebpur Police Station.
Miscreants riding on motorcycles hurled the bombs when the group of AL leaders and activists including Rocky, son of local MP Salim Uddin Tarafdar, Shakil Ahmed, chairman of Sadar union parishad, were sitting in front of the cinema hall, said the OC.
After the incident, the miscreants managed to flee the spot.
On information, police visited the spot. However, they could not arrest anyone, the police officer said.
After the incident, AL followers staged a rally protesting the incident.
