All dorms of Comilla University have opened after remaining closed for a week. The provosts of the respective dorms simultaneously unlocked them at noon on Sunday.
The residential students entered their dorms one by one after producing their identity cards.
However, as previously announced, all exams from Monday to October 17 are suspended.
On September 30, a tense situation arose between two groups of the Chhatra League following an announcement that the university committee of the organization had been dissolved.
On October 2, the university administration decided to postpone exams and close dorms to avoid any untoward situation.
Proctor Kazi Omar Siddiqui on Saturday said only residential students were allowed to stay in the dorms for the time being.
Meanwhile, students who do not stay in dorms have criticized on social media the opening of the halls when exams have been suspended.
