Four more Covid-19 patients and patients with symptoms of the deadly disease died at Khulna Medical College and Hospital (KMCH) in the 24 hours to 8am on Sunday, said hospital officials.
Two of the deceased, residents of Khulna and Jessore, were Covid-19 positive, said KMCH Covid-19 unit spokesperson Dr Suhash Ranjan Halder.
As many as 143 patients were undergoing treatment at the Covid-19 unit, which has 100 beds, until Sunday morning.
A total of 303 Covid-19 patients have died so far at this unit since the pandemic broke out last year, said Dr Halder.
The local administration recently imposed restrictions on public movement in Khulna after the Covid-19 situation worsened in the district.
As of Sunday morning, the district health authorities reported 193 deaths and 11,494 infections.
The daily infection rate dropped to 27% on Sunday, from 34% the previous day.
