Aviation Security (Avsec) at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport has seized 38,900 pieces of yaba pills.
The yaba pills worth Tk1.16 crore were seized from a consignment of 349 cartons of ready-made garments around 10:30am on Friday.
Airport Director Group Captain AHM Touhid Ul Ahsan confirmed the matter.
No one was arrested in this connection. A case is being filed in the regard under the Customs and Narcotics Act, Dhaka Customs House Deputy Commissioner (Preventive) Mohammad Marufur Rahman said.
