Police arrested two people with contraband drugs in their possession at Benapole on Friday night.
The incident occurred in the Bhobarber village of Benapole Port police station.
The arrested are Shahin Hossain,40, and his wife, Saira Khatun,36.
Benapole Port police station sources said that acting on a tip-off, police raided the residence of Shahin and Saira and arrested the duo along with 200 pieces of yaba.
Benapole Port police station OC Mamun Khan confirmed the matter.
“Shahin and Saira will be sent to the Jessore court on Saturday afternoon,” Mamun added.
