Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital is now equipped with Covid-19 testing facilities inside its new Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) lab.
The doctors launched the lab operation by testing 116 samples on the first day on Tuesday.
Himanshu Lal Roy, deputy director of Osmani Medical College Hospital confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.
He said: “The lab can be utilized to test samples of 116 patients in two phases each day. The PCR machine will deliver results within four hours.”
Earlier, the PCR machine arrived in Sylhet from the health department on March 7.
