Police have recovered the body of a woman from Raipur upazila in Lakshmipur.
The body was found in a betel nut garden at Kerowa union in the upazila on Thursday morning.
The deceased MafuzaKhatun, 70, was the wife of ex-police constable late BaharUllah.
Raipur police station officer-in-charge (OC) MdTota Miah confirmed the matter.
“The victim was strangled to death and later her body was dumped in the garden. A case is in process to be filed at the station, the OC said.
The victim had two sons.
