The mild heat wave sweeping across Bangladesh may abate at some places as rain or thundershowers are likely to occur on Tuesday, according to the met office.

“The mild heat wave sweeping over Khulna—and the regions of Tangail, Madaripur, Noakhali, Rangamati, Rajshahi, Dinajpur, Pabna, Barishal, and Patuakhali—may abate in some places”, the met office said, reports BSS.

Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is also likely to occur in a few places—over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet—and at one or two places over Khulna and the regions of Comilla, Noakhali and Rangamati, it said.

The weather may remain dry—with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere—over the country in the next 24 hours, it added.

The highest temperature recorded on Monday was 37.6 °C in Mongla and Jessore under Khulna division, while the minimum temperature on Tuesday will be 21.6 °C in Mymensingh.
