Two Rohingya children killed by landslide in Cox's Bazar

Two Rohingya children have been killed after a sudden landslide in Balukhali Rohingya camp-14 of Ukhiya Upazila, Cox's Bazar on Saturday.

The deceased are, Ismail, 5, son of Abdul Shukkur, and Rayhan, 6, son of Sadrul Amin. Both were residents of Bloch H in Hakimpara Rohingya camp.

The accident took place when Ismail and Rayhan were playing beside the hill. At around 5pm, a section of the hill collapsed on the children.

According to locals, the children died before they could rescue them from the beneath the earth.

Thaing Khali Tanjimarkhola police camp In-Charge Sub-inspector (SI) Monjur Kader told Dhaka Tribune: "We have sent a patrol team to the spot. We will give an official statement after primary investigation."
