A case has been filed and a probe committee formed in connection with the deaths of 10 people at the funeral of Chittagong’s former mayor and Awami League stalwart ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury.
Md Mashukur Rahman Shikder, additional deputy commissioner (general, told the Dhaka Tribune that the district administration has formed a five-member probe committee led by Additional District Magistrate Md Mashhudul Karim. The committee has been asked to submit their report within seven working days.

Furthermore, Arun Das, brother of Jhantu Das – one of the deceased – filed an unnatural death case with Chowkbazar Police on Monday night.
The case has been confirmed by Chowkbazar police Officer-in-Charge Nurul Huda.
