Bangladesh on Tuesday reported one death from Covid – the first fatality from the disease in almost one and a half months.
The last Covid death in the country before this was recorded on February 13.
The health authorities also logged six new cases in 24 hours till Tuesday morning.
With the new numbers, the country's total number of fatalities rose to 29,446 and caseload to 2,038,014, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The daily infection rate dropped to 0.37% from Monday's 0.63% as 1,428 samples were tested.
The death and recovery rates remained unchanged at 1.44% and 98.47%, respectively.
