Further 121 policemen recover from Covid-19

Samples from the 121 police personnel were tested twice in a row

Another 121 police officers have recovered from Covid-19 and returned home from Rajarbagh Central Police Hospital on Friday afternoon. 

Police headquarters Assistant Inspector General (AIG-media) Md Sohel Rana confirmed the matter and said policemen infected with coronavirus are recovering day by day, as they are being provided with excellent treatment. 

As per Covid-19 medical protocol, samples from the 121 police personnel were tested twice in a row. As results of both the tests came back negative, the doctors declared them virus-free and discharged them from the hospital, he said. 

Hospital authorities bid farewell to the officers by giving them flowers, the AIG-Media added.

Earlier, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed had instructed all concerned to ensure the best possible treatment for police personnel infected with Covid-19. He formed a special team to look after infected policemen. 

Policemen with Covid-19 are being treated at private hospitals with modern medical facilities in Dhaka and in divisional cities outside Dhaka, as well as at the Central Police Hospital and the Divisional Police Hospital. As a result, infected policemen are recovering quickly.
