The government has reconstituted a permanent committee to examine and assess various demands raised by public sector employees and provide relevant opinions or recommendations.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification on Sunday confirming the reformation of the 10-member committee.
The committee will be headed by the additional secretary from the Ministry of Public Administration.
The committee members include the joint secretary of the Organization and Management-1 Wing, the joint secretary of the Rules-1 Wing, the joint secretary of the Field Administration, Internal Recruitment and New Recruitment Wing, and the joint secretary of the Administration Wing from the Ministry of Public Administration.
Additionally, there will be one representative each from the Cabinet Division, Finance Division, Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division.
None of the representatives will be below the rank of joint secretary. The committee’s member secretary will be the joint secretary of the Secretariat and Welfare Wing under the Ministry of Public Administration.
The committee will examine the legitimate demands of government employees and provide opinions and recommendations accordingly.
According to the gazette, the committee will meet once every month and, if necessary, may hold discussions with an appropriate number of employee representatives.
