The divisional commissioners of Sylhet and Barisal have been made Officers on Special Duty (OSD) and attached to the Ministry of Public Administration.
Sources at the Ministry of Public Administration said on Monday that a notification in this regard was issued on Sunday. However, no new divisional commissioners have yet been appointed to replace them.
The notification issued on Sunday stated that Sylhet Divisional Commissioner Khan Md. Reza-un-Nabi and Barisal Divisional Commissioner Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman were first promoted to Grade-1 and subsequently made OSD and attached to the Ministry of Public Administration.
