Professor Chowdhury R Abrar is set to be sworn in as a new adviser, Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said on Tuesday.
He is expected to take charge as the education adviser, Shafiqul Alam said, adding that the oath-taking ceremony will likely be held at 11am on Wednesday.
The press secretary announced while briefing the media at the Foreign Service Academy.
Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Deputy Press Secretaries Apurba Jahangir and Abul Kalam Azad Majumder, and Assistant Press Secretary Suchismita Tithi were also present.
Professor Abrar completed his studies at the University of Dhaka, the University of Sussex, and Griffith University in Australia.
His works have been featured in volumes published by Westview Press, Blackwell, Earthscan, and Macmillan India.
He is a former faculty member in the Department of International Relations at the University of Dhaka.
