The government has passed an order to licensed firearm holders not to show their firearms publicly.
The announcement was made through a press release by political wing of the Public Security Division of the Home Ministry on Monday, reports BSS.
The statement said those who will violate this order will have to face actions as per the section 25 (A) of the Firearms License Supply, Renewal and Use Policy-2016.
“The licensed firearms holders have been asked to refrain themselves from working as security personnel at any private security agency or as bodyguards of any individual following the section 25 (C) of the Firearms License Supply, Renewal and Use Policy-2016 and showing arms publicly as per the section 25 (A) of the policy,” the release said.
According to sources, many people are working as security guards at different private security agencies and trying to create panic among the people showing their licensed firearms, the statement said.
"The licensed firearms holders have been ordered to follow the firearms use policy strictly.
"The government will take legal actions against those, who will violate the government order regarding this matter," the statement said.
