Ghanaian foreign minister pays respect to Bangabandhu

Visiting Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of Ghana Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey paid homage to the portrait of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, at the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum in Dhanmondi 32 on Monday.

Afterward, she visited the museum where she was briefed about the heinous crimes that took place on the night of August 15, 1975, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Tuesday. 

Botchwey arrived in Dhaka on Monday to campaign for her election for the Commonwealth secretary-general post.

Foreign Ministry Director General (Africa) AFM Zahid Ul Islam received her at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

The Ghanaian delegation would have several meetings during its stay to discuss issues of common interests.
