Haier Kingbadanti Cricket Carnival Season 6: Trophy unveiled, groups drawn

The Facebook-based group SSC 2000 & HSC 2002 (Amrai Kingbadanti), formed by students of SSC 2000 and HSC 2002, is gearing up for the “Haier Kingbadanti Cricket Carnival, Season-6” for the sixth consecutive year.

This exciting tournament is set to commence on January 3, 2025, at the Shamoli Club Cricket Ground.

A total of 15 teams will compete in 3 groups.

Matches will be held on January 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25, and February 1, 2025.

On Thursday, a special event was organized at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the capital, where the tournament’s jersey, group draw, and trophy were unveiled.

Former star cricketer and Bangladesh Cricket Board selector Hannan Sarkar was present in the event as the chief guest.

Other notable attendees included Wang Xiangjing Deputy Managing Director of Haier Bangladesh Ltd; Feng Xinyu, Chief Financial Officer; Ashraful Alam, Sales Director; Nur Nabi Raju from Maa & Shishu General Hospital, Bianibazar, Sylhet; and Amrai Kingbadanti’s admin and creator, Nazmul Hossain, alongside other distinguished guests.

Team managers, captains, sponsors, and members of the organizing committee also participated in the event.

In his speech, Hannan Sarkar said: “This tournament, involving individuals in their 40s, will inspire the growth of cricket in Bangladesh and motivate the younger generation.”

Wang Xiangjing from Haier Bangladesh Ltd said: “Haier is a brand deeply committed to youth and fitness, which we strive to reflect through our products. We are delighted and proud to be associated with such an event.”

The event also announced that “Haier Kingbadanti Cricket Carnival, Season-6” would be the most exciting tape tennis tournament in Bangladesh’s history, featuring many innovative ideas and the highest prize money ever.

The champion team will receive an attractive trophy along with a cash prize of Tk500,000.

This online platform, which began on November 15, 2017, has grown into a vibrant family of over 51,000 members.

To accelerate its humanitarian activities, Amrai Kingbadanti Foundation was registered on September 5, 2019, under the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms.
