Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) and the Embassy of Japan jointly organized a seminar title “Study in Japan Seminar 2018” at the university premises in CUET on Wednesday.
The seminar provided useful information such as: higher education in Japan; the Japanese government scholarship (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology; MEXT Scholarship); study and life in Japan, and its advantages.
The two speakers from CUET (returnees from Japan) spoke about their academics, day to day experiences and life in general as a foreign student.
More than 90 students along with young lecturers of CUET and Rangamati Science and Technology University participated in this seminar.
Over 5 decades, Japan has been providing scholarships to more than 3,800 Bangladeshis.
In 2017 alone, more than 160 Bangladeshi students received government-funded scholarship and are now studying in Japan on various academic fields.
