Candidates in two constituencies in Dhaka have taken a unique approach to engaging voters in the 12th national polls by using Quick Response codes or QR codes on campaign posters.
They are Dhaka-13 candidate Jahangir Kabir Nanak and Dhaka-8 candidate AFM Bahauddin Nasim.
They both are Awami League nominated candidates.
Responding to a question about the benefits of using QR codes in posters, Nanak said the QR code will help the voters to know which polling centre they should go to and know all information about the candidate.
In response to the same question, Nasim said "By using the QR code, voters can know about the candidates as well as the information of the polling centers. So we used it in our posters.”
The campaigning for the 12th national polls will continue till January 5.
The polls is scheduled to be held on January 7.
