The bank accounts of Hasanul Haq Inu, president of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal; AFM Bahauddin Nasim, former member of parliament for Dhaka-8; and Biplob Kumar Sarkar, former joint commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), have been frozen.

Additionally, the accounts of their wives, children, and businesses in which they hold personal ownership or interests have also been ordered to be suspended.

The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) issued instructions to banks and financial institutions across the country to freeze these accounts on Monday.

The bank accounts of the individuals and their family members, along with accounts of personally-owned business entities, will remain suspended for the next 30 days, during which no transactions will be allowed. If necessary, the freeze period may be extended.

Furthermore, the directive mentioned that all account-related documents, such as account opening forms, KYC (Know Your Customer) information, and transaction details, must be sent to BFIU within two working days of the letter's issuance.
