Awami League Presidium Member Jahangir Kabir Nanak said action will be taken if anyone tries to disrupt the election campaign of independent candidates.
He stated this during his election campaign held in front of the Suchona Community Centre at Mohammadpur on Monday.
Nanak conducted an election campaign with his party leaders and activists in the constituency's different areas.
Hoping that the people will cast their vote in favour of Awami League as they want to keep the country's development spree continuing, he said, "People will cast their vote for the Awami League spontaneously."
Nanak said the upcoming general election will be held in a free, fair, and neutral manner under the election commission.
"BNP won't be able to use chaos to thwart the election," he added.
Dhaka City North Awami League President Sheikh Bazlur Rahman and Organizing Secretary Azizul Haque Rana and Dhaka north city Chhatra League president Riyaz Mahmud, among others, were present.
