Ashraful Hossain Alom, popularly known as Hero Alom candidate for Bogura-4 constituency has raised allegations against local Awami League men that they obstructed his election campaign and snatched his mobile phone.
This incident occurred on Saturday evening at the Nandigram’s Muradpur Bazar in Bogra.
Hero Alom said: “The supporters of the Awami League candidate AKM Rezaul Karim Tansen, MP, were involved in obstructing his election campaign. His supporters tried to beat us with sticks, leading to fights.”
However, AKM Rezaul Karim Tansen, MP denied these allegations.
Hero Alom's supporters complained: “When we went to conduct an election campaign at Muradpur Bazar, supporters of Tansen obstructed our election campaign. At one point, Tansen's supporters allegedly attempted to attack us with sticks and batons.”
However, Nandigram police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Azamgir Hossain denied Hero Alom’s allegation and said: "Hero Alom’s allegation is not correct. No such incident occurred. Legal action will be taken if the complaint is filed."
Regarding this incident, Anisur Rahman upazila Awami League general secretary said: "As far as I know, none of our members are involved in this incident. They could be people from MP aspirant Tansen’s group."
However, locals said there was no incident of obstruction, attack or snatching of phone in Hero Alom's campaign. He is lying to increase views, likes, and comments on his YouTube channel. Hero Alom is lying using journalists. Therefore, all journalists should avoid the made up incident of Hero Alom.
