Police arrested content creator Ashraful Islam, popularly known as Hero Alom, on Saturday afternoon in a case filed by his former wife Riamoni.
The officer-in-charge of Hatirjheel Police Station Mohammad Raju confirmed the arrest.
He said that the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Wahiduzzaman’s court had issued an arrest warrant against Hero Alom, and he was arrested in execution of that warrant.
Earlier, Riamoni filed a case with Hatirjheel Police Station accusing him of attempted murder, assault, and issuing threats.
Another person named Ahsan Habib Selim has also been accused in the case, and the court has issued an arrest warrant against him as well.
