Ruling Awami League has pledged to form a National Minority Commission to effectively protect the rights of the minority community residing in Bangladesh.
The party has also pledged to enact a special law safeguarding minority rights.
These pledges were announce by Awami League President and Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, as she was delivering her speech to unveil Awami League’s 21-Point Special Pledge Manifesto.
The event is being held at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, in Dhaka, on Tuesday. The election will be held on December 30.
