Helicopters will be used to equip14 polling centers in Bandarban for the upcoming general polls.
Bandarban District Election Officer Md Rezaul Karim said: “The helicopters will be used to transport election equipment and officials to the 14 polling centers in remote areas.”

The centers include: Nuntiya Para Government Primary School of Ruma upazila, Paknia Para Government Primary School, Chinglok Para Private Primary School, Remakri Bazar Government Primary School of Thanchi upazila, Boro Madhu Bazar Government Primary School, Choto Madhu Sakheu Karbari Para Government Primary School, Three Grouping Para Government Primary School, Chaithowailah Karbari Para Private Primary School, Jinna Para Government Primary School, Mangrum Para Private Primary School of Alikadam upazila, Kurukpata Government Primary School, Poyamuhuri Maitree School, Ranin Para Government Primary School and Dyakumar Para Non-Government Primary School in Rohangchhari upazila.
What is the size of the constituency?
Bandarban, which is the 300th constituency of Bangladesh, has seven upazilas, two municipalities and 33 Union Parishads.
This constituency will have a total of 176 polling centers in the election which will be held at the end of December.
According to the District Election Commission Office there are total of 246,183 total voters in this constituency, of which 102,829 are male and 101,754 are female voters.
When is the election?
On November 12, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda announced a fresh schedule for the parliamentary election.
The commission said the polls will now be held on December 30 instead of December 23.
