Six Bangladeshi VCs attend conference on higher education in Turkey

Vice-chancellors of six Bangladeshi universities have attended an International Conference on Higher Education in Turkey. The two-day conference, held at Ankara's Presidential Palace, was organised by Vice Chancellor Forum on Universities of the Islamic World. VCs and academicians from universities across the Muslim world participated in the conference that began Wednesday. Jagannath University VC Prof Dr Mijanur Rahman, Khulna University VC Prof Dr Mohammad Fayek Uzzaman, Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University VC Prof Dr M Abul Kashem, Bangladesh University of Textiles VC Prof Engineer Mashud Ahmed, Islamic University of Technology VC Prof Dr Munaz Ahmed Noor and Daffodil International University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Yousuf Mahbubul Islam took part in it. In addition, University Grants Commission member Prof Dr M Shah Nowaz Ali also attended the conference. “This conference will help Bangladeshi universities increase interconnection and collaboration with other universities in the world in the field of higher education,” Jagannath University VC Prof Mijanur said from Turkey over telephone.
