NSU gets new Board of Trustees chairman

North South University has unanimously nominated Mohammed Shajahan as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He has also been nominated as the Chairman of the Board of Governors, the NSU Foundation for the year 2017-18, said a press release. Mohammed Shahjahan is an eminent industrialist and businessman in Bangladesh, philanthropist, one of the promoters and founder life members of the university. He currently holds the post of Managing Director of Shah Fatehullah Textile Mills Ltd and Jalal Ahmed Spinning Mills Ltd, a leading textile spinning group in the country. Shahjahan was also a director of Bangladesh Chamber of Industries, president of Bangladesh Textile Mills Association and honorary consul of the Republic of Moldova to Bangladesh with the status of a diplomat. He is a CIP (Commercially Important Person) as recognised by the Bangladesh government.
