A student has died after falling from the building of Notre Dame College in Dhaka.
Dhruv Brutadas, 18, fell from the "Father Team" building of Notre Dame College at around 3:15pm on Monday.
His classmates rescued him and took him to Dhaka Medical College (DMCH) Hospital, where doctors declared him dead at around 4pm.
Dhruv was an HSC examinee.
Their test exam results were supposed to be published on Monday.
He went to the college to get the results.
At the time of the incident, his father, Banibrata Das, was waiting outside the gate for his son.
He said: "I was waiting at the gate for my son. I called my son, he said it would take 5 to 10 minutes to get out. After a while, I saw some students coming out of the gate with my son in a bloody state. I do not know how or what happened."
However, there was no immediate comment from the Notre Dame College authorities regarding the incident.
Notre Dame College student Nafiz Madad Rahman said: "We suddenly heard a sound. When we went outside, we saw him lying on the ground in a bloody state. Later, we rescued him. They thought he might have accidentally fallen from the balcony of the building."
DMCH police outpost in-charge Inspector Md Faruk said: "The body has been kept in the hospital morgue for autopsy. The matter has been informed to the concerned police station."
