In protest against Israel’s attacks on Palestine, students from several private universities including United International University (UIU), Independent University Bangladesh (IUB), and North South University (NSU) held a demonstration in the Uttara area of the capital.
On Monday morning, the protest was organized beside Uttara Airport Road, where students participated holding Palestinian flags and various protest placards. During the demonstration, they chanted slogans such as “Free Palestine,” “Stop Genocide in Gaza,” and “Boycott Israeli Products.”
The demonstrators said that the indiscriminate killing of women, children, and civilians in Palestine is a severe violation of humanity. “We are not just students; we are conscious citizens. We cannot remain silent in the face of the killing of innocent people,” they stated.
During the protest, they also called for effective intervention from the United Nations and international human rights organizations.
